Main account

A main account is created automatically by the system. Every first account in a new currency will be saved as 'main'.

The functionality linked to this main account concept is mostly focused on collecting fees; there are fee types that are not linked to a single account, such as applying a fee for each user.

All fees that are not linked to an account will be collected from the main account in the default currency.

Pending fees from other accounts that cannot be collected because of unavailable funds will also be collected from the main accounts.

At last, from the Admin portal, main accounts can be changed, in case there are no funds in the main account, to collect pending fees or charge fees for concepts not linked to a specific account.

All the actions described in this section are available from the Admin portal if the Admin user has the appropriate permissions.
